Vogue Fashion Night Out 2015 Sydney
This year’s Vogue Fashion Night Out was an extremely fun event. Sydney was totally bustling with crowds of shoppers eager to join in one of the biggest annual retail events, which gave the city a buzzing atmosphere that was quite exciting.
The launch party began at 4pm at Hyde Park, with a performance by Sophie Lowe and speeches from Melissa Hoyer, Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Edwina McCann and Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore. I loved the spectacular floral displays at David Jones – the spring themed display window on Pitt Street Mall was especially lovely with a dreamy Japanese feel due to the use of cherry blossoms and peonies. There were even cherry blossoms artfully arranged inside David Jones, which I thought was a gorgeous way of paying homage to spring. The highlight of the night for me would be doing a Q&A with Lancome and Teresa Love, although I would have to say I’m definitely more comfortable remaining behind a camera than in front of one ultimately haha. Being an extremely minimal person, I tend not to use much make-up except in formal occasions, so the Lancome Miracle Cushion (a BB cushion that uses a puff to soak up BB cream which is then patted onto the face) is perfect for someone like me. It’s really easy (and convenient) to use, especially when I’m constantly on the go.
I wrapped up the event by soaking up the spectacular night view from high up in the city while relaxing with a hot cup of tea. Looking forward to next year’s VFNO already…
